tl;dr We’ll be rolling out a breaking change to the text editor’s DOM over the next few releases, encapsulating the editor’s content with the Shadow DOM. It’s behind a feature flag for now, so everyone has a chance to update their themes and packages before we make the change permanent.

As of Atom version 0.140.0, RPM packages built on Fedora 20 and Debian packages built on Ubuntu LTS 12.04 (both 64-bit) are available on atom.io as well as the atom/atom Releases page.
