package depends on the status-bar
package because it uses it to display the current editing mode.

Over the past several months, we’ve spent a lot of energy getting Atom’s API into a condition that we’re confident supporting over the long term. With the release of Atom 0.174.0, we’re happy to announce a stable 1.0 pre-release of Atom’s API. We will be adding a few features in the coming months, but we don’t plan on breaking anything that is documented as public today.

Packages make Atom work. We’ve noticed that it can be sometimes difficult to find packages and adjust their settings, so we’ve made some changes to Atom’s settings view in version 0.167.0 that will help you manage your packages and themes more easily. Packages and themes now have their own tabs, organized by community packages you’ve installed, core packages that ship with Atom, and packages that you’re developing.

After a successful trial period, the shadow DOM is now enabled by default to prevent style pollution in Atom’s text editor component starting in today’s release, 0.166.0. Check out the introductory blog post for more details.
